Perthshire is one of my favourite wedding locations. I’m always excited when going to this part of Scotland.
Leigh and Craig have decided to exchange their vows in Athol Palace Hotel and Spa. You can see this beautiful venue from few miles away as it’s located on a hill.
When you’re in the building, you can feel the historic character of this place. Decorations are simply stunning.
I have met Leigh and Craig before the wedding for their engagement photoshoot. They both live in London but were visiting family in Edinburgh. We’ve had some great time taking photos in Dean Village. It was back in December and we couldn’t spend to much time as shooting as it was pretty cold morning. Thankfully Leigh and Craig didn’t mind low temperatures and let me create some beautiful photos of them. It turned out that some of them were used on their wedding tables tags. Another great way to use your pre-wedding photos.
The wedding day itself was nearly perfect. When I say NEARLY I mean the weather. No, it was not raining. It was nice and sunny but maybe a bit to hot. The heat was even bigger inside so going through the ceremony was difficult not only for the bride but also for the guest and myself ( having around 10 pounds of equipment strapped to my shoulders for nearly 10 hours can be tricky).
Straight after the ceremony everyone decided to get some fresh air and went oustide to have a drink and celebrate newly married Mr and Mrs.
The rest of the day was getting better and better. The speeches were extremely funny, especially the one done by groom’s brother. I don’t remember laughing as much for a long time.
The evening reception is that part of the wedding day when everyone can finally relax and start the party.
